If you’re looking for a tree to make a bold statement all year round, then Acer palmatum ‘Senkaki’ is the one for you. Commonly known as the coral bark Maple, the young branches of this extraordinary tree are bright red and in the depths of winter are almost neon. Growing to a height of 5m, new growth flushes in spring bright lime green which is pleasingly lurid against the bark. Over the Summer the leaves are a mid green and in Autumn they turn butter yellow with bronze touches. This excellent tree works well in containers or as a focal point in a garden bed where they get even moisture and protection from hot sun and wind.

Work colleagues suggested this would look good for our client. Couldn’t agree more – the bright neon branches look awesome during dusk.
