Betula pendula ‘Fastigiata’

Betula pendula ‘Fastigiata’

Betula pendula ‘Fastigiata’, the Upright Birch, has the beautiful trunk and brilliant foliage colours of other Betula pendula varieties, but with a very striking habit. Branches grow in an ascending manner, interweaving with one another to create a distinctive columnar shape. These have year-round interest, with rich, dark green leaves in Spring and summer, butter yellow Autumn foliage and in winter the structure of the tree is revealed with the peeling white trunk and dark brown young branches. A truly special tree.

1 review for Betula pendula ‘Fastigiata’

  1. Wasn’t keen on this one, but my apprentice told me to consider this. I agree, it was easy to plant and looks great.
