A small tree that has been cherished for generations, Citrus japonica ‘Cumquat’ is a stalwart for small, sunny gardens. Masses of heavily perfumed flowers give way to large numbers of small bright orange round fruit. The fruit is edible and, although tart, is perfect for conserves. The shrub itself grows to 3m by 3m and looks excellent in pots. Adaptable to a wide range of conditions, these bright and cheery plants are an easy choice for the garden.

Cumquat jam is great on toast. Luckily Kilby had this in stock so bought it for our home in Ringwood.
